An OAKS group helps with moves in a crisis
Your participation in the Reaching Farther Auction will help a local volunteer organization of more than 300 people who serve others in need right here in the Fox Valley.
OAKS (Organized Acts of Kindness and Sacrifice) helps with moving, food, minor home and car repairs, yard care, painting, cleaning, roofing and disaster relief.
The Reaching Farther Auction will provide funding to purchase:
- A moving truck and moving equipment
- Car repair equipment and supplies
- Home repair supplies
The OAKS Vision is that no one within our local communities be without the means to have an adequate roof over their heads, sustenance for their bodies, and the care and love of Christ for life. We assist in the following ways:

- Hardship or disaster cleanup from fire, weather disaster, theft, etc.
- Support with overwhelming financial or emotional burdens
- Providing items for needs other than financial
- Support when in situations of estrangement or prolonged loneliness
- Visiting shut-ins due to surgery or immobility
- Helping with moves
- Providing transportation
- Providing meals to those who are suffering from illness or loss
- Being willing hands of labor with landscape, minor repair, painting, etc.
- Participating in random act of kindness
- Being agents of referral to apply for car repair
- Being agents of referral to apply for financial support
- Being agents of referral to apply for food support
- Any other needs that present themselves…

OAKS also provides:
- Referrals to apply for Auto Ministry for car repair
- Referrals to apply for Benevolence ministry for financial support
- Referrals to apply for Food Pantry support
- Items for needs other than financial
- Random act of kindness such as handing out water bottles at a marathon
